My Inspiration... (:

He is such a cutie. 

This semester I painted a lot of cartoon characters. When I drew my Flounder, off The Little Mermaid, I found picture off the Internet. I found this site which helped me a lot. Flounder. (:
A lot of my insperation for what I did came from my nephew. He is 4 and loves cartoons. I gave him both of my cartoon paintings, one of Mike Wazowski and one of Flounder. He loves them. We framed them and put them up on his walls.

Artist Reflection.

This was my first year in Art. At first I didn't think that I was going to like it. I thought that I had no artistic ability. That completely changed. This is one of my favorite classes. You may wonder, what have I learned being in art? It wasn't the technical stuff that I learned. It was more of the little stuff. I learned that you don't have to be the most artistic person to do art. As long as you like what you are doing, then others will like it too. My favorite project that I did this year was my Monsters Inc. painting. It was the 2nd thing that I ever did. It let me do something that I enjoyed and was a challenge for me (because I'm not very artistic). I would have to say that my favorite thing to do was draw. I liked the challenge in it. Then after that comes painting. It was neat to see what you can create and what the final outcome would be. So in all in all I enjoyed this class a lot. I wish i would of joined earlier. I don't think that I will do anything with art in my future.... well at least not professionally, but maybe in my free time.

Flounder (:

I used paint, pencil and water color paper. 

This is my final project. IT is flounder. (: I love it. I made this for my nephew. It took me the whole 3 weeks to do it. I really like the final product. I found a picture of it online. I really didn't know what to do with the background so i just winged it.

I really like this project. It is my second favorite, behind Monster Inc.

I Don't Even Know....

I like this project the best. This was my
original idea. 

 I did 2 projects this time. (:
I like the first one the best. I got the idea from my last project.
I got the idea for my second project because i saw something like that in mrs. comers room. I thought that it looked pretty cool so i figured I would give it a shot.
In the end i like both of my pictures. I wouldn't do anything any different because there really isn't anything you could do different. (:

My Inspiration... (:

My inspiration would come from my family. I mean my second project I gave to my nephew because he LOVES monsters. I would say that my first project tied into my family also. It tied in because my family is all of those things. I mean that is pretty much what my family does. We live, laugh and love. (:

Crazy....

So here is my 3rd project for this quarter. I did it in only a week. I wish that I would of had more time to do it. I didn't like my last idea so i changed it half way through. I want to do a similar project for my next project. If I were to do it again I would defiantly make sure I had more time to do it. Other then that i like it. (: It is not completely finished yet. But I will finish her up here pretty soon.

Mike Wazowski

I got this idea because during my art class we started to talk about little kids and shows that they watch. My nephew LOVES "Monsters Inc." so i figured I would do an art project over him. I like the painting but I would defiantly would do some things different. For starters I would not outline everything in black first. I would paint it and then go over it with the black. Having the black already on there makes it very difficult when I go to paint the main color. I also would not paint it. Painting is just not my thing. (: But after it is all said and done I like my project. I think that it was a very good idea. I am going to give it to my nephew and he will LOVE IT.

Live, Laugh, Love

I did this because I had no idea what to do besides this. I think that they turned out fairly well. My favorite one is the heart. If i would have done it over I would of done some things different. But there is nothing I can do about it now. (: My least favorite of the 3 is the peace sign. I had to do it fast so it did not turn out as well as  I wanted it too. I enjoyed doing splatter paint. I think that I will try to incorporate it into my last project of this quarter.

Passion For Art. (:

Honestly I can't tell you that I have a passion for art. I have always found art interesting. I think that art is a good way to express who you are. You can tell a story though art. You can tell a place you liked, a emotion you felt, or make something just to make it. It also helps people to relieve stress. All they have to do is pick up a paint brush or start sculpting something and their problems may go away for that moment.
This semester in Art I want learn more technique. I want to do more then just use a brush and some paint. Even though I enjoy that a lot.  I really want to try pottery. I think that would be fun. I am excited for this semester. I want to make some really neat stuff. (:
